Planes, Trains, Automobiles and Much More Welcome, to Transportation Systems, in this class the student will learn all the different types of transportation systems. They will learn about Land, Air, Water, and Space transportation. In each of these specific areas of transportation the students will engage themselves in hands-on activities that will teach them all about the different areas of transportation. Some projects and activities include a paper airplane challenge, and building concrete boats that float. Rube Goldberg Project
Over the last couple of weeks the students have been learning about energy and power. With the study of energy the students learned about types and forms of energy. Also, the class has been learning about power and mechanical advantage. In the power unit they learned how to measure horsepower, measure electrical power, and how simple machines play many roles in complex machines.
