Over the last couple of weeks the students have been learning about energy and power.  With the study of energy the students learned about types and forms of energy. Also, the class has been learning about power and mechanical advantage.  In the power unit they learned how to measure horsepower, measure electrical power, and how simple machines play many roles in complex machines. 

In the Rube Goldberg project the student groups had to use simple machines to show the transfer of energy throughout the entire device with a single human input at the start of the device.
